From Online to On-Chain IRL: Reflections from Token2049 & SuiFest
Working in Web3 often means living online: connecting, collaborating, and building through screens. But events like Token2049 and SuiFest remind us why meeting face to face still matters. They create space for genuine collaboration, deeper strategic thinking, and the kind of creative conversations that simply don’t happen on a video call.
SuiFest was a standout. The activation was one of the most creative and technically impressive we’ve seen, a true showcase of how the Sui ecosystem is thinking differently about what it means to build and engage in Web3. From the design to the infrastructure, it was a reflection of a network that’s innovating both on-chain and offline.
Alkimi was proud to see Ben take one of only three keynote spots, addressing the entire conference and introducing our mission to the Sui community in person for the first time. The response was overwhelmingly positive, particularly around our focus on bringing value back to the ecosystem rather than extracting it. That message resonated and led to fantastic conversations with projects like Clayno/Popkins, LoFi, and others exploring creative ways to strengthen collaboration across communities.

Over the week, our team spent time with the Sui founders, leadership, and marketing team, solidifying relationships that have been built online and aligning on shared goals for ecosystem growth. We wrapped the week with our Full-Stack Event, closing out an incredible few days with meaningful discussions on how projects can work together to scale Web3 adoption sustainably.
We also caught up with Rebecca, Managing Executive at Walrus, to film a podcast exploring the opportunities and growth unlocked through leveraging Walrus; a brilliant example of how builders in this space are using Web3 infrastructure to drive real utility and innovation.

Meeting KOLs we’ve been cultivating relationships with was another highlight. At Alkimi, we approach KOL partnerships differently, focusing on building long-term relationships rooted in understanding and authenticity, not just short-term exposure. Connecting IRL helped deepen those partnerships and align on how we can communicate Alkimi’s unique value proposition to broader audiences.
Beyond the Sui ecosystem, Token2049 provided a strong business development lens, connecting with infrastructure partners, data providers, and Web3 ad networks, exploring integrations with Alkimi’s programmatic layer. These conversations are paving the way for new collaborations, joint campaigns, and technology alignments that will expand our ecosystem reach.

Across the week, we also touched on exchange visibility and liquidity strategy, ensuring that $ALKIMI continues to be positioned as a token of real-world utility. With more exchanges and ecosystems now prioritising projects that deliver tangible on-chain value, it’s clear that Alkimi’s model, bridging programmatic ad revenue with tokenised participation, is resonating across the space.
Singapore was a growth moment for Alkimi. From conversations with senior marketing leaders exploring programmatic advertising solutions for Web3 brands, to aligning on long-term partnerships within the fastest-growing ecosystem in the space, the week was a clear reminder that the future of advertising in Web3 isn’t a distant concept; it’s already taking shape.
Events like Token2049 and SuiFest aren’t just conferences; they’re accelerators for ideas, relationships, and network growth. This week reaffirmed our commitment to building within Web3, for Web3, creating transparency, efficiency, and value that flows back into the ecosystem.
